Union Hall Gallery

Located in the historic Golden Hill, San Diego, this community jewel hosts art gallery showings and large scale private events, creating exposure for emerging artists in the community. Built by Local 1948, International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners in 1948, the building has been home to several trade unions, an artist collective, the San Diego Reader, and a music venue. Recently rehabilitated by the owners of Santa Ysabel Art Gallery, Union Hall Gallery aims to support local and bi-national artists, designers, and community-focused events.

Conceptualizing

:

The branding of this space was focused on minimal elegance, letting the beauty of the space speak for itself. Every design decision was made in service of the art, creating a visual identity that steps back so the work can step forward.
